The delegation of Gazprom headed by Deputy Chairman of the Board Vitaly Markelov will visit Tehran in early December for the continuation of negotiations on the participation of the Russian company in the Iranian gas projects. It was reported by Mehr News Agency.
As previously reported by TASS, November 10 Markelov met with Deputy Iranian Oil Minister Amir Zamani Niya during his visit to Moscow. The Deputy Minister stated that Gazprom is interested in the development of gas fields in the Persian Gulf, as well as LNG projects.
At the same time, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Kirill Molodtsov told reporters that the Russian companies Rosneft, Gazprom, Lukoil, Gazprom Neft, Zarubezhneft and Tatneft have identified the list of Iranian fields interesting them.
Presentation of the new type of oil contract for Russian companies will be held in Tehran on 17 November.
In February this year, the head of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIOC) Hamid Reza Araki reported that Iran stepped up cooperation with Gazprom. In particular, Gazprom formed five joint committees – on investments, repairs, maintenance, storage and processing of oil and gas.
