The total volume of gas production from the field Shah Deniz was 75 bcm from November 2006 until September 1, 2016, the First Vice President of SOCAR Khoshbakht Yusifzadeh said.
According to him, during this period, the project also produced 19 million tons of condensate.
‘At present, every day 29 mcm of natural gas and more than 7 thousand tons of condensate are produced from eight wells in the field,’ Yusifzadeh said.
He said that as of September 1, 2016 the export of gas from the field Shah Deniz to Turkey amounted to 41.5 bcm, and to Georgia – 5.5 bcm.
From the words of the First Vice-President of SOCAR, we can conclude that so far 28 bcm of the gas produced, or 37.3% of the gas from Shah Deniz was delivered to the domestic market of Azerbaijan.
‘The daily volume of the gas flow through the South Caucasus pipeline to Georgia is an average of 1.7 mcm, and to Turkey – 16.5 mcm,’ Yusifzadeh said.
The contract for the development of Shah Deniz was signed on June 4, 1996, while the field was discovered in June 1999. The shareholders of the project are BP (operator, 28.8%), Petronas (15.5%), SOCAR (16.7%), Lukoil (10%), NICO (10%) and TPAO (19%).
