Qatargas 2 joint venture (JV) and Pakistan State Oil company (PSO) have signed a long-term agreement on liquefied natural gas (LNG) export to PSO.
Qatargas reported that 3.75 million tons of LNG a year will be exported within 15 years beginning March 2016. The Qatar company did not disclose any other commercial details of the deal.
In April 2015 Qatargas delivered the first trial batch of gas before launching of the floating terminal for re-gasification, storage, refining and shipping of LNG in Qassim port, which will be a part of the transshipment complex Elengy LNG, Pakistan’s first terminal for LNG import.
Qatargas 2 is joint venture of Qatargas, ExxonMobil and Total for LNG production and export, reported Interfax.
