Last year LUKoil planned to invest $1.05 billion into implementation of two projects in Uzbekistan with a total value of over $8 billion. In 2015 the company plans to invest $587.2 million into the projects in Uzbekistan, reads the state investment program for this year, writes RIA Novosti.
LUKoil has been working on three projects in Uzbekistan – Kandym-Khauzak-Shady-Kungrad, development of fields on the south west of Gissar and has been also involved into geological exploration of the Uzbek part of the Aral Sea as a part of the international consortium. Within the framework of the first two projects, which are production sharing agreements (PSA), by 2017 LUKoil plans to extract 18 billion cub.m. of gas and increase total volume of investment up to $8 billion against $3.5 billion invested up to day.
During 2014 LUKoil’s accumulated gas production in Uzbekistan totaled 25 billion cub.m.
