On December 19, 2014 delegation of the Bulgarian government will visit Moscow to conduct talks with the Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak about possibility of continuation of the South Stream gas pipeline construction, said Bulgarian Minister of Economy Bozhidar Lukarskii.
“Bulgaria has never intended to suspend the South Stream project, we always wanted to implement it. We would like to hear an official position of the Russian Energy Minister to this project,” Lukarskii told journalists during the Trade-Economic Forum of the Central and Eastern Europe with China, which took place in Belgrade on Tuesday.
Lukarskii said Bulgaria’s position is that the South Stream could be brought in correspondence with the European directives and legislation.
