The Rusian gas price discount for Turkey could be more than 6% and this issue will be discussed depending on the situation at the market, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak told journalists.
“As you have heard, 6% is the first stage. In the future it will depend on the situation at the market, oil and gas prices and implementation of joint projects in the gas industry,” Novak added.
He said earlier this week that turkey asked Russia for up to 15% discount for gas price.
During Russian President’s visit to Ankara on Monday Russia and Turkey have reached several important agreements in the gas industry, including construction of the gas pipeline to Turkey through the Black Seas instead of the South Stream.
