Turkmenistan increases petroleum production
The growth rate of petrol production was 102 percent, diesel fuel – 101 percent, polypropylene – 105.5 percent, technical lubricants – 112.7 percent, liquefied gas – 105.2 percent in Turkmenistan in January-July 2014, the Turkmen Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources said.
“The crude oil processing depth in high quality oil products increased on the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries,” according to the report. “Therefore, the volumes of waste products, in particular, fuel oil saw a 4 percent decrease.”
Moreover, due to modernization of a bitumen production facility, its production has increased by 32.4 percent compared to the same period of last year.
Turkmenistan plans to bring the capacity of the oil refining industry to 20 million tons in 2020, to 22 million tons in 2025, to 30 million tons in 2030. At present, the country annually produces about 10 million tons of oil. Considerable part of this oil is processed by local refineries.
