Turkmenistan is interested in intensification of cooperation with Bulgaria, which is built on the equal and mutually beneficial basis, said Turkmenistan President Gurbangulu Berdymohammadov at the session of the Cabinet of Ministers, reads the statement of the Turkmenistan government released yesterday.
On July 3-4 it is planned to hold another session of the intergovernmental Turkmenistan-Bulgarian commission on economic cooperation in Ashgabad.
The participants of the meetings will have to define the steps aimed at increasing partnership in the trade-economic field, fuel-energy sector, transport and communication, construction and agriculture.
At the session of the intergovernmental commission it is also planned to discuss the drafts of intergovernmental agreements aimed at expanding of the legal basis of cooperation.
Turkmenistan and Bulgaria periodically discuss the possibilities of Turkmen gas deliveries to Bulgaria.
In particular, they discuss the ways to build the trans-Caspian gas pipeline to the coasts of Azerbaijan and from there the Turkmen gas could be delivered to Turkey, Bulgaria and other European countries.
