State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) plans to reconstruct the offshore structure No11 on the shallow section of Guneshli fields, reads the official web site of SOCAR.
“The goal of the reconstruction is to expand the offshore structure and drill four more operation wells from it. At present Neftagasproject has started the reconstruction design.
The works will be completed till the end of 2014. General contractor of the project is Neftagastroi construction trust, reads the web site. Expansion of the offshore structure No 11 envisages construction of manifolds, connection of the transportation lines to the technological scheme and installation of constructions for placement of drilling equipment.
100 tons of oil and 260,000 cub.m. of gas a day will be extracted from four wells, which will be drilled from the expanded part of the structure. Development of shallow section of Guneshli field started in 1980. The field ensures about 65% of SOCAR’s oil production.
