From 2009 to 2013 SOCAR’s investments into business development in Ukraine exceeded $160 million, reads official web site of SOCAR Energy Ukraine, SOCAR’s daughter company.
“SOCAR’s investments into the social and charitable initiatives in Ukraine exceeded $5 million,” the same source said.
According to the company, despite unstable political and economic situation in Ukraine, SOCAR is going to continue development of its business in this country. “The company’s plans remain unchanged – to continue construction of new petrol stations and create new jobs. Till autumn 2014 the company plans to increase number of its petrol stations in Ukraine by 50%. In the near future it plans to open new petrol stations in the regions, where the company has never been represented,” said the same source.
“Our goal is to strengthen the company’s position at the Ukrainian fuel market. For this reason we continue developing network of our petrol stations both in the capital of Ukraine as well as its regions to supply its population with high-quality European oil products,” said SOCAR Energy Ukraine General Director Elchin Mammadov.
SOCAR Energy Ukraine has started working in Ukraine in 2008. In early 2009 after a careful study of Ukraine’s retail fuel market, SOCAR Energy Ukraine decided to create and develop a network of petrol stations in Ukraine. By 2014 total number of petrol stations under SOCAR brand name in Ukraine reached 40.
