Sudan has invited the Azerbaijani energy companies to invest into its oil and gas industries, Sudan-based portal www.bernama.com reported quoting the Sudanese State Minister Hatim Abul-Gasym.
The statement reported that Sudanese Oil Minister has discussed the issues of investments with Shahin Abdullayev, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Sudan.
The perspectives of cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector and strengthening of bilateral relationships, including in fields of natural gas and oil products, have been also discussed at the meeting.
In the past years Azerbaijan, in particular State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), has received requests from various African and Asian countries to invest its capital into various projects. However, SOCAR chooses the commercially attractive projects with minimal risks.
