Gazprom has set a new absolute record of the daily volume of gas exports to non-CIS countries: 597,900,000 cubic meters was delivered on November 11.
As recalled by the information department of JSC Gazprom for this autumn, Gazprom for the sixth time recorded a new historical maximum daily volume of gas supplies to far abroad. The increase compared to 10 November, when the previous record was set, was 6.2 mcm, which is comparable to the current daily volume of supplies to several European countries, such as Croatia or Denmark.
The data published by Gazprom allow us to calculate the export of at least 17 bcm in volume in November (increase not less than 25%). Thus, already in the first 11 months of 2016 Gazprom can exceed the entire shipments of 2015 (158.5 bcm).
For the past two weeks Europe has been facing weather more severe than it was a year ago. In addition, the supply of Russian gas is spurred by the favorable (for buyers) ratio of the prices in the spot markets and the prices of Gazprom’s long-term contracts.
