In quarter 1, 2014 net profit of Italian Eni Spa, one of the world biggest energy companies, declined by 15.6% to 1.3 billion Euro, reported the company.
During this period the corrected operation profit totaled 3.5 billion Euro, down 6.8% against the same period in 2013. The analysts expected the index of 3.42 billion Euro.
In quarter 1, 2014 the company’s Capex totaled 2.54 billion Euro, declined by 18.5% during a year.
Production of hydrocarbons totaled 1,583,000 barrels of oil equivalent a day, up 0.5% against January-March 2013.
During the first three months 2014 Eni discovered the deposits of 200 million barrels of oil equivalent.
