Siemens company is going to lay off 7,400 employees around the world. The layoff will affect about 2% of the company’s staff, Bloomberg agency reported quoting the source. This week the company will officially announce the layoff.
At the end of January Siemens published the report for quarter 1, 2014 fiscal year, in which it emphasized difficulties of business caused by geopolitical tension. From October to December 2014 the company’s net profit decreased by 25%, while profit from the ongoing operations – by 18%.
German transnational concern Siemens has been working in various fields of industry, transport, energy and communication.
