Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zandane, who has arrived in Vienna to attend session of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), told journalists that if the West lifts sanctions against Iran, the Islamic Republic will be able to increase oil production up to 4 million barrels a day during three months.
The monthly OPEC report reads that at present Iran produces about 2.7 million barrels a day and exports 1.5 million barrels a day.
Bijan Namdar Zandane added that at present one cannot say when the talks on the Iranian nuclear program will be over. This is a political issue. The final agreement will be achieved if the adverse party displays good will.
