By April 1, 2014 over 328 million tons of oil from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) fields have been sold at the world markets, of which 175 million tons belonged to Azerbaijan as a profitable oil, SOCAR Senior Vice President Khoshbakht Yusifzada said in his speech at the I International Caspian Energy Forum-2014.
He said during 2013 22.5 out of 32.7 million tons of oil extracted from ACG or 68.8% was profitable oil of Azerbaijan.
Yusifzada added that growth of oil and gas production in the country is ensured mainly at the expense of ACG and Shah Deniz fields.
SOCAR Senior Vice President also said that at present 77 producing wells on the ACG deep-water area produce in average 2.8 million tons of oil and 1.1 billion cub.m. of gas a month.
331 million tons of oil and 94 billion cub.m. of gas was extracted since launching of ACG on November 7, 1997.
